摘要：

在当今社会，跨文化交际是一种十分普遍的现象，尤其是在第二语言的学习过程中，学习者不可避免的会遇到各种各样的文化问题，比如母语文化与异文化的碰撞带来的文化休克等。鉴于此，论文从英语专业学习者的角度来讨论在英美文化学习中如何培养大学生跨文化交际技能的问题。论文以英美文化学习为例，总结英语专业的学生在学习中所遇到的问题，并从文化角度研究这些问题背后的原因，进而在结合原理与实例的基础之上提出解决策略。论文旨在提高大学生跨文化交际技能，以便更好地达成跨文化交际的目的。

Abstract:

It is common to see cross-cultural communication in our daily life at present, especially in second-language acquisition. As a Chinese English major, one will always meets a variety of difficulties in learning British and American culture, for example, the phenomenon of culture shock that is caused by the collisions between native culture and nonnative culture. For this reason, the topic--how to improve college students’ cross-cultural communication skill from English major perspective will be discussed in the paper. The author has summarized those problems that she encountered in learning British and American culture. Based on those problems, a detailed cause analysis from culture perspective will be given in the paper. Moreover, the solutions of how to improve college students’ cross-cultural communication skills will be put forward in the paper. All in all, the paper aims to improve college students’ cross-cultural communication skills, which is helpful to realize the cross-cultural communication.

1 Introduction
  1.1 Background information of the study
It is common to see cross-cultural communication in our daily life at present, especially in second-language acquisition. As a Chinese English major, it is not easy to learn English. Because it is not enough to learn the foreign language itself, he needs to pay some attention to culture in order to understand the contents better. In recent years, more and more people have involved into cross-cultural communication no matter where they are at home or overseas. Therefore, it is necessary for them to learn and master some useful cross-cultural communication skills in order to communicate with each other.
