摘要：

英雄崇拜是一种普遍存在的文化心理和文化情结。而英雄主义，作为一种文化产物，在异彩纷呈的不同文化背景下，也有不同的界定。本文在借鉴前人研究成果的基础上,从中西英雄主义角度入手,首先对英雄和英雄主义定义进行界定，通过以《拯救大兵瑞恩》和《金陵十三钗》两部电影人物所体现的英雄主义为研究对象，分析中美影视中所表现的英雄主义的相同点和不同点，从而进一步探究其背后深层的文化根源。英雄战斗的背景不同，个人动机不同，两种文化对英雄的评价标准也就不同。通过两种英雄文化的互识互比来促进文化间的沟通和 理解，进一步丰富已有的研究内容,从而为中西文化交流提供一点启示。

Abstract:

Hero worship is a kind of common cultural psychology and cultural complex. Heroism, as a cultural product, has diversified criteria as different cultures define it in different way. Based on the achievement of former scholars, from the prospective of heroism in China and America, this thesis firstly defines hero and heroism. By selecting the heroism reflected in the characters in Saving Private Ryan and The Flowers of War, this paper then analyzes the similarities and differences of heroism in Chinese and American movies, thus inquiring into the deep social culture source of it. Due to different heroes have different battle-backs and personal motivations, the evaluation standards to hero also have the very big difference. Mutual reference and comparison is helpful to promote the development and communication of different cultures. This thesis aims to further enrich the contents of the existing research, thus give some enlightenment for the Chinese-American culture exchange.

1. Introduction
    Hero worship is a kind of common cultural psychology and cultural complex. Heroism, as a cultural product, has diversified criteria as different cultures define it in different way. Film arts, as a cultural carrier, reflect a nation’s cultural traits while exerting enormous imperceptible influence on it. Yu Dafu claimed the nationality that personages without greatness is the most pitiful biological group in the world; however, the one appearing the great personages but no awareness of supporting, loving and worship them is the hopeless slave’ s nation(Yu Dafu,1982)! Heroism is the symbol of national spirit, embodies the value of this nation and the ethnic look. In every culture, people have the extraordinary admiration and moral idea to their heroes. In recent years, with the increase of the Chinese and foreign economical cultural exchanges, a mass of movies that reflect heroism are streaming into China, especially in American movies majority. Thus, it has increasingly raised the public awareness of Sino-foreign heroism movies.
