摘要：

现今，在中西方文化竞争、交流、融合、共存的现实下，西方国家正将注意力转向东方来改变自身文化的表现形式；与此同时，东、西方国家都在试图找出能将各自文化内涵和表达方式相互融合的新途径。继1998 年美国第一次运用中国文化背景和文化元素创作了动画片《花木兰》之后，2008年，美国再次出品了充满丰富中国元素的《功夫熊猫》，给中国影片带来不可忽视的挑战。然而，不同的国家由于文化背景、思维方式、国民特征以及其他一些方面的差异，它们对影视作品和文学作品中英雄人物形象的塑造和诠释也存在着很大的差别。本文将以文学名著《西游记》和电影《功夫熊猫》为例，采取对比的方法，通过比较孙悟空和阿宝的特点，来比较中美英雄主义的异同。本文详细地从四个方面比较孙悟空和阿宝体现的特点。四方面分别为：传奇色彩与生活气息、个人主义与集体主义、幽默感与权威感以及瑕疵与完美。因此通过本文的对比我们可以发现，无论是在电影和文化领域，中西方都有着各自的特点及优劣势，在寻求认同的同时我们也要保持自己的特色，使我国的优良传统文化得到继承和发展。

Abstract:

Nowadays, with the reality that the Sino-Western cultural competition, communication and integration exist at the same time, Western countries are turning their attentions to change the performances of their cultures. Both the Eastern countries and the Western countries are trying to find out a new way in which we can integrate the respective connotations and forms of eastern and western cultures. In 1998, the United States the first time set Chinese elements into the animated film Mulan. Ten years later, in 2008, the United States once again produced Kung Fu Panda which is filled with Chinese elements too. And then the film brought serious challenges to the field of Chinese film. Both American and Chinese animations have a quite long history, so comparing the two main hero characters in Kung Fu Panda and Journey to the West will help us get a better understanding of the similarities and differences between the two countries, especially know better about the cultures and traditions. This paper will be based on Journey to the West and Kung Fu Panda, separately from the two heroes’, Sun Wukong’s and Po’s, personalities, behaviors, interpersonal relationships and so on, comparing the differences on the characteristics of the heroes in the two works. The thesis carries out the study from three aspects: legendary versus vitality, individualism versus collectivism and humor versus authority. This paper aims to compare the differences between American heroism and Chinese heroism to highlight the characteristics of American and Chinese culture.
