Abstract

With the rapid development of the modern technology and globalization, cultural communication and collision among countries have been an inevitable phenomenon. The rise of the film industry, especially the success of Hollywood film, fully shows the tremendous role of the film as a carrier to spread cultures. Taking The Forbidden Kingdom as an example, the thesis discusses Chinese and Western elements in the movie from the perspectives of scenes, roles and relations, language, spirits and values. Besides, it also carefully analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the cultural integration. With the trend of global film pluralism, the development direction of Chinese domestic film has also been clarified in detail.

摘要

随着现代科技和全球化的飞速发展，各国间的文化交流与碰撞已成为一种必然现象。电影产业的兴起，特别是好莱坞电影的成功，充分说明了电影作为文化传播的载体的巨大作用。本文以电影《功夫之王》为例从叙事背景、人物及人物关系、语言以及精神和价值观理念等方面逐一探讨当中的中西结合。细致地分析这种文化融合的利弊，并指明全球电影多元化发展趋势下中国本土电影未来的发展方向。
