摘要

我们生活在一个色彩斑斓的世界，颜色是我们生命中不可缺少的组成部分，正是它的多样性造成了与之相对应的颜色词的丰富多彩。但是由于中西文化的差异，颜色词在不同的国家被赋予了不同的文化涵义。本文将通过对几个典型英汉颜色词的涵义进行对比，从而对英汉文化差异进行初步探讨并对造成其差异的影响因素，像是地域，风俗习惯，政治背景，思维方式等进行分析，以期能对今后的跨文化交流提供帮助，避免产生误解。

Abstract

Color is an essential part of our lives; it is what that has made the world more beautiful. However, due to cultural differences, color words have been given different connotations in Chinese and English. This paper intends to analyze the cultural differences through contrasting the meaning of some typical color words. In order to avoid misunderstandings in cross-cultural communication, this paper will also discuss about the influencing factors that have caused the differences, such as the location, lifestyle, political background, religious beliefs and value orientation, etc.
