摘要

多年来，美式英语的研究一直是学界研究的重心，而对美国校园俚语这种非书面的、非正式的语言的研究则相对较少。美国俚语，尤其是美国校园俚语，正逐步成为美式英语中不可或缺、增彩添色的一部分，这是一个无法否认的事实。本文从美国校园俚语的形成，包括积极的推动因素和消极的阻碍因素，与其特点两大方面入手，重在运用语言学的理论知识，研究校园俚语对整个美国俚语影响和作用，从而使美国校园俚语的研究者更好地了解美国校园俚语。

Abstract

Over the years, the study of American English has been the focus of academic research, while the language study of unwritten and informal American college slang is just a little. American slang, especially American college slang, is becoming an integral and colorful part of American English, which is an undeniable fact. This paper begins with a brief introduction to the background of American college slang as well as the relation between American slang and American college slang. Then the author analyzes the formation, including simulative factors and limiting factors, as well as its characteristics of American college slang from two aspects, with an attempt to apply linguistic knowledge and study the influence and significance of American college slang toward the entire American slang. It helps researchers to know more about American college slang.
