摘  要

贸易导致了全球化，同时全球化亦推动着贸易。我国的进出口贸易愈发繁荣，尤其是与英语国家的交往日益频繁。然而，要做好一桩生意也并非易事。寻找目标，谈成生意是一笔买卖的第一步。生意往来涉及的方方面面都不容忽视。不论是在书面的买卖合同或者单据，亦或是谈判，其中的用词用语都是是至关重要的。现代英语的根基是词汇学，而在英语词汇学中有一个比较特别的分支—缩略语。在国际贸易中学好英语缩略语，合理恰当地运用这种语言，无论是对于一个生意人还是对一个学者都有百利而无一害。本论文描述了国际贸易的发展和现况，以及它所带动的英语语言的发展。研究方法是了解贸易中的各种用词，尤其是缩略语的应用和发展，并对以前的案例进行分析。通过比较不同单据的用词用语及着重点，掌握沟通技巧，对英语缩略语在国际贸易中的应用及发展作出总结。案例分析中的参考资料和文件来自于工厂，外贸进出口公司和货代公司。

Abstract

Trades have led to globalization which also drives trades at the same time. In China, export and import trades are showing increasing prosperity, especially the business with some English speaking countries. However, to clinch a deal is not such an easy job. We need to focus on every aspect when doing a business. Persuading your target client is the first step of a business. Furthermore, whether in a written contract for the sale, documents about trade, or negotiations, words always play the most essential role. The foundation of the modern English is lexicology and abbreviation is a special branch of it. In international trades, whether for a businessman or a scholar, using English words correctly is helpful to their business and study. This dissertation firstly shows the history and development of international trade and English language. Analyzing the previous cases is the main research method. And it focuses on the wording of the document by comparing the different words and sentences, mastering communication skills. Finally, it makes a summary of the application and development of English abbreviations in international trades. Reference materials and documents given from several places, including factories, import and export companies and freight forwarders, are mainly used in case study part.
