摘  要

经济一体化的全球发展趋势使各国贸易频繁，各国银行与银行间的合作也愈趋紧密。银行英语是各国银行业务中的通用语言，在这种全球化的趋势下，银行英语的应用变得更加重要。本文有五个部分组成。第一章是关于银行国际化发展的趋势，银行基本业务分类以及银行英语的重要性。第二章介绍了前人的研究成果：（1）银行英语的基本风格；（2）银行英语的词汇特点。第三章介绍使用银行英语时应遵守的原则。第四章是具体案例中分析，并印证了第二章的理论知识。最后，第五章将根据全文作总结。本文的目的是在前人研究的理论基础上，结合作者的思考，对银行柜台服务中所使用的英语风格及用词进行深入研究。结论得出银行英语所展现的基本风格与词汇特点，以及银行英语在服务中所遵从的原则都能在柜台服务中体现，从而帮助读者更好地了解以及学习银行英语在柜台服务中的使用。由于研究对象的单一，本文的结论会有局限性。所以针对柜台服务银行英语的研究还有很大的探讨余地。

Abstract

The economic globalization has accelerated the international trade development, and also frequented the businesses among banks of different countries. Banking English has now become the most commonly used language in banking business activities since the globalization. And the application of Banking English plays a more crucial role in successful bank operations. This dissertation is composed of five parts. Chapter One is a brief introduction of the internationalization of banking businesses, and the basic services and the significance of Banking English. In Chapter Two, some previous studies of Banking English will be introduced: (1) existing studies of Banking English in terms of its general styles; (2) the lexical features of Banking English. Chapter Three presents the principles that Banking English should obey. According to the findings concluded in Chapter Two and Chapter Three, cases in Chapter Four will be taken to do the further research and try to verify the findings. And the author will summarize the results of the case studies and give some suggestions about better understanding of Banking English over counter services. The last part, Chapter Five, is the conclusion which analyzes the whole dissertation. The object of this dissertation is to summarize the general styles, lexical features and principles that Banking English over counters presents on the basis of previous researches and author’s ideas. The conclusion of this further research will then help readers achieve an understanding and knowledge of Banking English in counter services. Owing to the limitation of case studies, researches of other kinds of resources about Banking English can be conducted. Further discussions about Banking English in counter services are requested.
