摘  要

模糊语，即模糊性的自然语言，或是语言表达不明确的现象。近年来已被越来越多学者所关注。随着经济全球化的发展，国际商务谈判成为生活中必不可少的一部分。在国际商务谈判的过程中，使用模糊语言作为一种语言技能，或一种策略，在谈判中发挥意想不到的作用，此前，有学者已对模糊语在不同领域中有所钻研，但是其在国际商务英语谈判中的应用还缺乏深入系统的研究。基于模糊语的现有研究成果，本文将对于模糊语在国际商务英语谈判中的应用进行深入探讨，作者将收集各种相关实例，着眼于在具体国际商务谈判中模糊语的研究，并运用一些相关理论，揭示模糊语的优势以及它的表现形式。同时还将进行其影响的分析，着重研究模糊语对于国际商务谈判的积极影响。

Abstract

As a language phenomenon, vague language exists in various aspects of life. It refers to the natural language which contains ambiguous words or it means a phenomenon that the language expresses not clearly. In recent years, many scholars have been making researches on this new field. In most business English negotiations, the use of vague language as a linguistic skill, or maybe a strategy of negotiation, plays a positive part in negotiations. This paper focuses on the use of vague language in international business English negotiations. Previously, lots of researches about vague language have been studied, but as for the applications, there are just few systematic studies about this. Basing on former studies, this thesis concentrates more on the applications of vague language in international business English negotiations. Appropriate use of vague language will solve many problems. Meanwhile, it can convey the realistic thoughts and standpoint to fulfill the purpose. The major findings are showed that if the negotiators who use vague language correctly, the results of the negotiation will be successful. Plenty of examples will be collected and most of them will be used to explain. And this paper shows the advantages and manifestations of vague language through using some related theories as well. The function of vague language cannot be ignored. Meanwhile, different impacts of using vague language in other different fields will be studied.
