摘  要

金融英语拥有较强的知识性、实用性和专业性,是一种以职业为目的的英语。随着国际金融业务的广泛发展，金融英语已经成为我国对外经济贸易活动中及其重要的语言工具，熟练地掌握并运用金融英语非常重要。然而，到目前为止，国内外学者在金融英语词汇及语义上的研究比较有限。因此，本文将通过分析研究英文金融术语的构词和语义特征，总结出英语金融术语的词汇特征和规律，以便希望能够对金融英语学习者有所帮助。本文中的大都数词汇的研究样本取自于英文金融词典，通过逐个分析了样本中金融术语的构词方法，总结出英文金融术语的构词特征，然后定性地分析了英文金融术语的语义特征。

Abstract

Financial terms are a kind of English for occupation purpose, which has strong knowledge, practical and professional. With the rapid development and process of international financial activities, the Financial English has become the vital language tools in China’s foreign economic and trade activities. to use English Financial terms skillfully is really important for them. However, up to now, the study in the field of lexical and semantics is very limited. Therefore, this thesis aims to generalize the lexical and semantic features of English Financial terms by analyzing the word formation processes and meaning characters, in the hope of improving the learners’ understanding of English Financial terms. The author selects the words from an authoritative English finance dictionary as the research samples. By analyzing the word formation processes of the sample terms one by one, the features of English Financial terms word formation process are generalized. Moreover, a detailed description of the meaning change and etymological roots of the English Financial terms are provided.
