摘  要

英语缩略语不仅普遍出现在人们的日常生活交流中，还在金融术语及其它商务交际中扮演着不可缺少的作用。说话者采用缩略语表达自己的观点或陈述一件事情，以便达到交际目的，从而更快，更准确的阐述意见。语言缩略语在英语国家的文化背景下场产生，因而有其独特的构成，语言功能以及其他特征。通过对这些领域进行全面分析，笔者尝试把相关知识应用到金融英语研究领域。金融报导，文章，术语中经常会出现缩略语，这一现象要求我们正确理解它的功能和使用方法。基于前人对缩略语的研究，本文将继续深入讨论，从缩略语构词，多方面探究缩略语在金融英语中的应用，并根据分析结果，提出一些建议。

Abstract

English abbreviations are very popular in our daily life and communication, it has become a fad in many field, as well as in financial terms and other business conferences. Speakers can convey their opinions more clear and more accurate by using abbreviations during communication. In some occasion, abbreviation can help both readers and speakers, it shorten the communication barrier. Developing from a cultural background in English countries, English abbreviations have its special distinctive formation, pragmatic functions and other relevant features. Those features have different usage in different area. With a comprehensive analysis of these aspects in serious area, the author will try to apply the findings to finance English. English abbreviations can be founded in many financial articles and reports, which call for a correct understanding of its functions and use. Although there is few studies about English abbreviation in fiance English, the author try to follow the previous studies of English abbreviations and continue with the discussion about its application to finance English from several aspects. Then based on the results discussed, suggestions are proposed to achieve a better understanding.
