摘  要

修辞手法，就是通过修饰、调整语句，运用特定的表达形式以提高语言表达作用的方式和方法。它分类繁多且广泛应用于美国情景喜剧中，在著名美剧《生活大爆炸》中尤为常见，《生活大爆炸》以“科学天才”为话题，讲述的是四个高智商科学家和一个普通女招待的生活趣事，其对话中包含无数科学名词和丰富的剧情幽默色彩。这部剧曾荣获包括TCA奖，艾美奖等多项重大奖项，可谓好评如潮。本论文旨在通过分析该剧中常用的修辞手法，如反讽、隐喻、委婉、反复、夸张等，分析总结《生活大爆炸》语言特色和人物特征。且本文通过分析不同季不同集的人物对话让读者更好的了解国外各个方面的文化与体会修辞学的特色与魅力。

Abstract

Rhetorical device is a special kind of form of expression to achieve the aim of improving language functions and also creating a literary effect by means of embellishing and changing words, which is extensively used in American dramas, particularly in The Big Bang Theory, a famous American situation comedy. The Big Bang Theory is a very popular situation comedy at present with “science talent” as its background. It talks about life fun of four high intelligent scientists and an ordinary waitress. This play has won several honors including TCA and Emmy. This paper aims to analyze the rhetorical devices of character’s dialogues from the perspective of rhetoric, such as irony, perversion, rhetorical questions, allusion, hyperbole, etc. as a way to anatomize character personality. And this paper also analyzes the dialogues in different seasons, different episodes in order to enable people to have a better understanding of rhetorical devices’ amazing fascination. Besides, through effectively summarizing language features of play line, feeling its art charm, appreciating special emotions and cultural connotation, the author wants to express to audience through lines, at the same time let foreign audience to contact knowledge on other levels, like society, culture, economy, religion, etc. It not only opens view of audience but also enables people to have a more complete research on play line.
