摘  要

当我们提及交流时，会很自然地想到我们每天都会讲的不计其数的语言。但是，除了口头语言，还有一种语言在我们的日常交流中做出了巨大的贡献，那就是体态语。体态语是一种表达和交换信息的可视化符号系统。它由面部表情，身体姿势，肢体动作和体位变化等构成。事实上，体态语在我们的日常生活中有非常广泛的运用，并且有时更能无声胜有声地巧妙表达信息，同时给对方留下更大的想象空间。如今，随着社会的发展和经济全球化，各国间的交往也越来越频繁，人们也逐渐意识到了解中国与其它英语国家的体态语差异也是他们贸易往来时需要考虑的一个重要因素。本文将从体态语的理论基础，体态语禁忌以及体态语所反映的中英文化差异等方面进行进一步阐述。

Abstract

When we mention communication, it is naturally to think of language which we have to speak everyday for countless words. However, except verbal language, there is also a kind of body language which has made a great contribution to our daily communication. Body language is a kind of symbol expression and the exchange of information visualization system. And it is the facial expression, body posture, limb movements and postural changes in a variety of symbolic images. Actually, body language has been wildly used in our daily life and sometimes it can be more ingenious than we use vocal language to express our feelings and emotion；meanwhile it can leave more space for the listeners to image. Nowadays, with the development of society and economic globalization and continual communication, people gradually realize that it is necessary to understand the differences between English-speaking countries and China, if they want to do business with each other. I consult literature materials and adopt the observational research methods to find the information and get a thorough insight into the significance of body language. In this paper, I focus on the theoretical basis of body language, body language taboos, body language with cultural differences between English-speaking countries and China to make a discussion.
