摘  要

随着经济全球化的蓬勃发展，国际贸易越来越频繁，越来越多的企业参与到了国际贸易中。然而，在贸易过程中总是避免不了商业性的矛盾和冲突。因此，商务英语索赔信在国际贸易中起到了至关重要的作用。人们普遍认为在商务信函中必须是用精确的语言来表达，却忽略了人类语言的模糊性。本论文主要分析在商务索赔信中使用模糊语言的现象。论文将从商务英语索赔信中出现大量模糊语言的基础上，从合作原则，礼貌原则和面子理论这三个角度来具体分析，用网络和书籍上的索赔函来具体地，全方位地分析模糊语言在商务索赔信中的使用现象及语用功能。帮助大家更加简洁清楚地了解模糊语言和商务英语索赔信中模糊语言的应用。

Abstract

With the rapid development of global economy, international trade is becoming more and more frequent. However, it is impossible to avoid commercial contradictions and conflicts in the course of trade. Therefore, business English letter of claim(LOC) plays an important role in the foreign trade. People generally believe that businessmen must use precise language to express information in business letters, but people just ignore the fuzziness of human language. This thesis mainly analyzes the fuzzy language phenomenon in LOC. And this paper will concretely analyze the using of vagueness in LOC from three perspectives of cooperative principle, politeness principle and the face theory, which is based on the significance of vague language. The present paper will use true business correspondence as the sample. And then, all of the readers can understand vagueness and it’s functions in the business letter of claim.
