摘　要

《基度山伯爵》是一部著名的叙事小说，由法国作家大仲马于1845年秋开始撰写的。本书主要内容可分为2部分。第一部分写的是主人公狱中遭遇和越狱后的报恩行动。第二部分，叙述主人公复仇的曲折经过。《基督山伯爵》是一个关于主人公基督山伯爵--爱德蒙.唐泰斯由平凡人升格为英雄的典型故事。通过从爱德蒙.唐泰斯的言行和复仇方式、故事情节、社会政治情况、世人的信仰来对主人公进行形象分析、我们可以初步了解到成为英雄所需要经历的事情。除此之外，我们也要对英雄主义进行适当的分析和了解。在阅读了一些关于英雄主义的文章后，我发现要体现英雄主义，我们必须找到合适的方法。而本文通过爱德蒙.唐泰斯的经历来描写英雄主义的形成及其原因，这样通过一些例子来证明自己的观点可以让读者更容易理解也更好的信服。相信这篇文章会让我们更好地了解英雄主义。

Abstract

The Count of Monte Cristo is a famous novel in narrative. It is written by French author Alexandre Dumas who begun to write it in the fall of 1845. The main content of this novel consists of two parts. The first part is the master’s suffering in the prison and the actions which he does for Benefactor after jailbreak. The second part narrates the experience of twists and turns when the master begins his revenge. The Count of Monte Cristo is a typical story about the master, Edmond Dantes, who becomes the hero from an ordinary people. Through the analysis of the master’s speech, action, story, politics, religion, revenge, and other aspects, we can know the experience roughly which we must undergo if we want to be a hero. In addition to, we must search some information of heroism and analyze the information to know the heroism deeply. After reading some articles about heroism, I get a preliminary understanding of heroism in the literature world. I find that if we want to show the heroism, we must use some proper ways. In this paper, I use the experience about how Edmond Dantes becomes a hero to show the formation and reason about heroism. By this way, I can use some examples to prove my ideas and the reader can know my idea easily. I believe that this thesis will give you a deep understanding about heroism.

1 Introduction
In my paper, this study focuses on the reason and formation of the master’s heroism from the book of The Count of Monte Cristo. I read the book several times to find some parts concerning the heroism. And I find that Dantes’ experience shows the heroism from different aspects. In order to know the different aspects of heroism, we must study some books about what is heroism. At last, we can combine the materials to conclude that the reason and formation of the heroism and the good influence of it on the society. It will be divided into four parts. The first is the introduction of the author, Alexandre Dumas; the second will be the introduction of the book of The Count of Monte Cristo; the third will be the reason and formation of the master’s heroism; the last will be the conclusion.
