摘 要
这篇论文主要研究了简•爱的女权主义在小说中的体现。在当代文学中,《简•爱》在英国文学史上是一部伟大的作品,这是毋庸置疑的。它是夏洛蒂•勃朗特的代表作。在这篇论文中,作者通过国内外学者对《简•爱》的学习评论以及她对简•爱成长中所经历的各种压迫的反抗的介绍等方式来描写简•爱的女权主义在她生活中每个阶段的体现。虽然简•爱外表朴实无华,但她具有独特的人格魅力。她坚持维护独立人格,追求个性自由、平等和真爱,从不向命运低头。她自尊、自强、自爱和自我提高的精神令人钦佩,她的这种精神也唤起了女性意识的觉醒。本文通过对简•爱女权主义的分析,揭示出当时社会的女权主义的内涵。

Abstract
The main content to be discussed in this thesis is about Jane's feminism reflected in the novel. In the present literature, Jane Eyre is no doubt a great novel in English literature. It is Charlotte Bronte's masterpiece. In this essay, the author describes the reflection of Jane’s feminism in each stage of her life with the methods of learning and commenting of Jane Eyre, and introducing variety of Jane’s resistance in her growth. Jane Eyre has plain appearance but she has a unique charisma. She insists on an independent personality, the pursuit of individual freedom, equality. And she also bravely pursue true love; she does not bow to fate. Her spirits of self-esteem, self-reliance, self-love and self-improvement are admirable; and these are helpful to arouse the whole society’s attention to women’s self consciousness. In this paper, with the analysis of feminism in Jane Eyre, it reveals the feminism connotation of the society at that time.

1 Introduction
This paper mainly deals with the question how Jane's feminism reflects in the novel. As is known to all, classic literary works are essential in our daily life. They always enrich our lives and minds no matter how the time changes. Writers often make use of this effective and powerful way to express their attitudes toward the world or particular matters. At present, many scholars and educators across the world pay special attention to literature study. No doubt that Jane Eyre is a famous classic literary work. By using a unique perspective of women’s status, it shapes an unyielding secular pressing, independent, and positive image of women through the heroine Jane’s tortuous growth experience, especially her true love story with Rochester. This female image impacted the male’s social position; earlier showed the awakening of female consciousness and awakening of women’s struggling. The author hopes this paper study can contribute to have a deep understanding of Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte, and also the Western feminist consciousness, thus it can be better used by Chinese feminists.
