摘  要

现代社会人们的物质水平虽然比以前越来越好，生活也越来越富裕，但是人们的幸福感却没有因此而提升，反而有越来越多的人有心理问题，有些学生因为一点学业或者感情上的问题动不动就会有跳楼自杀的情况，同学之间因为一些小事就会有很多的不愉快，为了在探讨性格与快乐的关系，研究决定快乐的因素，作者以鲁滨逊为例，作了一些研究。以往的作者大多数是研究鲁滨逊性格的分析，并没有对性格与快乐的关系有研究，而本文通过分析鲁滨逊的性格，研究性格与快乐的密切联系，让人们充分了解并意识到性格对一个人幸福感的影响是多么的巨大，通过研究，从中了解性格的力量，最终能应用于现实生活中，遇到一些看似不愉快的事有一个良好的心态，保持乐观的心情。

Abstract

  Although people in modern society are not worried about food and live a wealthy life, most of us are not so happy as before. There are more and more people who have the psychological problems. Some students suicide because of school work or love. Some of them feel unhappy just because of some small things. In order to find out the close relationship between one’s character and happiness, this paper will briefly analyze Robinson’s character and research on the connection between one’s character and happiness. . Unlike the authors who have done some researches on Robinson and paid most of their attention to the character of Robinson,  this paper will focus on the relationship between character and happiness, and will let people understand how important a role one’s character plays in happiness. Finally, people can learn the power of character, and master this theory and use it in daily life to have a good mood if they meet some things that seem bad.

1. Introduction
1.1 The background of my paper
   In the modern society, most people are under great pressures, large quantities of people are not so happy because of hard life. The quality of life seems much better than ever before, we have so many entertainments during our night, but it is really strange to find that people are not happy as expected. On the contrary, lots of people have psychological problem, they usually go to the hospital to see the psychological doctor. Some may even suicide, not only middle-aged people, but also some students jump from high building just because some contradictions with their classmates. This has become a common phenomenon in the whole world, especially in China, the suicide rate rises every year. It seems that we have lost the instinct of smile.
