摘 要
《呼啸山庄》是一部通过分析希斯克利夫和凯瑟灵爱情悲剧来探究作者所处的社会对当时人民影响的小说。 本研究先是简介《呼啸山庄》,再主要论述了希斯克利夫与凯瑟灵的爱情的悲剧性表现(希斯克利夫与凯瑟灵的不幸童年,他们内心的痛苦),最后再分析一下这个爱情悲剧的内外原因(包括社会背景和呼啸山庄的人物本身)。 本研究通过对希斯克利夫和凯瑟灵之间爱情悲剧的表现以及主要原因的分析来展现出当时社会的黑暗和冷酷使得人性扭曲,继而导致了无数如同《呼啸山庄》一样的悲剧发生。总体而言,该研究不仅仅是对希斯克利夫和凯瑟灵之间的爱情悲剧的分析,更是对作者艾米丽所处的社会的分析。除此之外,本研究也对用通过研究作品来还原历史真相的行为起到了积极地影响。

Abstract
Wuthering Heights is a famous novel which explores the influence that society, where the author lived, had on individuals through a general analysis of the tragic love between Heathcliff and Catherine. The paper gives a brief introduction of Wuthering Heights at first, and then lists the detailed embodiments the tragic love by analyzing the tragic childhood of Heathcliff and Catherine, as well as the strong internal sorrow Heathcliff and Catherine experience; and finally analyzes the internal and social causes of the love tragedy. This paper illustrates the darkness and cruelty of the society Emily lived and its influence on changing an individual’s personality by researching on the representations and causes of the love tragedy between Heathcliff and Catherine. That influence can make more tragedies, like in Wuthering Heights. In conclusion, this paper is not only an analysis of the tragic love between Heathcliff and Catherine, but also an analysis of that society where Emily lived. What’s more, this paper also plans an active role on promoting the behavior to restore historical facts by analyzing the current works.

1 Introduction
Wuthering Heights is the only work of one of the British female writers Bronte sisters Emily Bronte’s. This novel mainly depicts a gypsy outcast Heathcliff adopted by the old master of Wuthering Heights, but because of abused experience and fall in love with Catherine(the daughter of old master), he go out to get rich to win his young girlfriend back. However, after he came back and find Catherine already marry to another man, she then take revenge to Thrushcross Grange and Wuthering Heights. Wuthering Heights enjoys a great popularity in the history of English literature, and it has been translated into a variety of languages to let individuals on the world know its value. In addition, Wuthering Heights, during the long history, has been adapted for film, plays, poetry, opera, musical, and even pop songs. “Reviewers have focused on the imagery and metaphysics and Marxist, feminist and psychoanalytic critics have concentrated on class, gender and sex.” Dennis Bloomfield introduces in his article.
