摘要
《简•爱》自创作以来就一直受到读者的喜爱和评论界的尊重。人们热衷于谈论简•爱的生活经历和后来与罗切斯特的爱情故事,也被她其强烈的自尊、自立、自强的个性而吸引,同时也误解了作品中所塑造的另一个女性反抗形象——伯莎•梅森,这个被作者赋予疯女人称号的人物,往往被理解为是构成简•爱与罗切斯特婚姻的障碍。这个疯女人与作品中的其他女性形象一起,用于铺垫和陪衬之用。随着女权主义的兴起,伯莎才从女权角度得到重新解读。实际上伯莎和简•爱一样都是男权社会的牺牲品和男性压迫的反抗者,甚至伯莎的反抗更为猛烈、更为彻底。

Abstract
Jane Eyre has been loved by readers and respected by critics since it was created. People were found of talking about Jane Eyre’s life experiences and her love story with Rochester, and also attracted by the heroine Jane Eyre's strong personality of self-esteem, self-reliance and self-strengthening. In the novel, the other woman’s fighting image was misunderstood---Bertha Mason, who was endowed with the title of crazy woman, was often understood as a barrier in the marriage of Jane Eyre and Rochester. The mad woman works with other female images together, used for matting and foiling. With the rise of feminism, Bertha has gotten reinterpreted just from the feminist perspective. In fact, Bertha and Jane Eyre are both the victims of patriarchal society and male oppression protesters, Bertha even revolts much more violently and thoroughly.

1. Introduction
In the middle of 19th century, England first completed industrial revolution to make Britain embarked on the economic liberalization, political democratization, and social modernization path. In such circumstances, British female writers arose, and more than 30 women writers boarded the literary arena in 19th century, and they also created a large number of literary works with female vision and described the situation of women, it also became a unique phenomenon in the history of English literature. During that period, Charlotte Bronte was one of the famous female writers, and her novel Jane Eyre was also a significant novel. It also reflected the social environment at that time.
The 19th century British female writer Charlotte Bronte’s masterpiece Jane Eyre shaped two heroines who have different characters and fates: Jane Eyre and Berth Mason. “Outwardly, Jane Eyre is a person full of rebellion consciousness of women; however her heresy still doesn’t get rid of men’s domination.”
