Abstract

In the field of literature, there is a lack of a clear definition of maritime literature. Robinson Crusoe is praised as the first realistic style of maritime literary works. This paper tries to study the elements of ocean in Robinson Crusoe. After analysing the elements of ocean, this paper attempts to discuss what literature can be classified into maritime literary works and maritime literature should possess what Literature connotation. Then this paper discusses about marine spirit and emphasizes harmonious unification between human beings and the sea. Closing to the sea is the main rhythm in maritime literature. This paper discusses the significance of studying the maritime literature.

摘要

在文学领域，还比较缺乏“海洋文学”的定义。《鲁宾逊漂流记》是写实主义的海洋文学奠基之作，本论文通过研究《鲁宾逊漂流记》中蕴含的海洋元素，并通过对该小说海洋元素的分析来探讨海洋文学的范畴，海洋文学应具备怎样的文学内涵。继而探讨了海洋精神，强调人和大海的和谐统一，亲海将是海洋文学的主旋律。本论文最后探讨研究海洋文学的意义。

1.Introduction
In the field of literature, there is a lack of a clear definition of maritime literature. Robinson Crusoe is praised as the first realistic style of maritime literary works. 1.1 A brief introduction of the author
Robinson Crusoe is a 18th century British author Danie Defoe's masterpiece. Robinson Crusoe is the most famous tale of shipwreck and solitary survival in all literature. It is praised as the first realistic style of ocean literary works. And it also makes Daniel Defoe immortal and helps him become one of the founders of English realistic novel.
Defoe was one of the first to write stories about believable characters in realistic situations using simple prose. Along with Samuel Richardson, Defoe is considered as the founder of the English novel. Before his time, stories were usually written as long poems or dramas. Because of his novels, especially Robinson Crusoe, Daniel Defoe is remembered chiefly.
