摘要

本论文拟就长篇小说《飘》，在南北战争的背景下，从情节的先后顺序，分析女主角思嘉丽的家园意识在战前，战中，战后的不同表现，从战前对家园的厌烦与对“别处”的好奇与向往，到战争中其家园意识的唤醒与爆发，再到战后对家园的保卫与回归，探究家园意识的本质，和对人类的重要意义，以及在不同人生境遇下的不同表现形式。
本文探讨的家园意识，不仅是指对实质上的“家”和“家人”，“土地”的坚守和热爱，也是对精神上的“家”的意识的找寻，人们都有寻找“家”的自然倾向，寻找一种在混乱的现实生活的筋疲力尽中，所能得到的温暖安定的精神状态。家园是在人们不停的奔波所带来的恐惧，孤独，伤害的前提下感知到的有归属感的精神事物，同时也可以与实际的家园结合。而家园正是那唯一的，不会随风而逝的源动力来源。

Abstract
This paper presents the analysis and exploration of home consciousness in Gone with the wind. Based on the background of America civil war in the novel, the paper explored the different expressions of the main character’s home consciousness before, in, and after the war. It described the main character’s boredom for home with the curiosity for anywhere else before the war, the arousing accompanying with climax of home consciousness in the middle of the war, and finally the defending for home and the road back home after the war. This paper is aimed at exploring the essence of home consciousness, which has important significance to human. It also explored the different forms of home consciousness when the situations of lives are different. 
As for the home consciousness discussed in this paper, it not only referred to the desire and defense for “land” and “family”, but also the continue searching for mental home consciousness. People have the instinct intend to find “home”, to find a warm and stable mental status through the exhaustion from disordered real lives. Home consciousness is something belonged to the individuals. Which only can be felt when people are terrified, lonely, and hurting because of incessant “walking”. Spiritual home could be combined to the home in real life. And the home is just the only stream of power that would never be gone with the wind.

1．Introduction
Most of the researches for Gone with the wind is from the historical background as America civil war, the relationship between slaves and their owners, as well as the analysis for characters, culture conflict between north and south of America, etc. The readers intend to consider this novel as a love story. Beyond question, home consciousness is also the main theme of this novel, which makes the figures ascending to the ideology and society, and what’s more, makes the structure of narration more integrate and uniform. The home consciousness is the connection between Scarlett and culture of south, the bridge to depict figures on the social background. Scarlett had got the power to live on through war and poverty because of the home consciousness. How could the home consciousness give so much power for people and sometimes we may even know it? It is the question we answered later in this paper, and from the story told by Gone with the wind, we will analyze the changes of home consciousness in this novel, so that to better understand how home consciousness  works in general public.
