摘要

从18世纪晚期到19世纪早期，随着工业革命的发展，财富和社会地位变得越来越重要，对获得金钱和尊重的追求成为社会的主流趋势。同时，这种观念对人们的婚姻观也产生了极大的影响，无论是贫困或富有，处于低阶层或高阶层，大多数人都认为婚姻是基于金钱而产生的，而非爱情，有的人甚至把婚姻当作是一种获取财富和舒适生活的手段。然而，并非所有的人都是这样的看法，还有很多人坚持认为，虽然物质生活是不可或缺的，但是爱情仍然是婚姻的基础和必需品。
在现代社会中，人们的婚姻观变得越来越复杂，这些观念有的是积极的，应该被赞扬和推崇，但有的却是极度扭曲的，它们可能会导致严重的后果，比如不幸福的婚姻或家庭悲剧。因此，对婚姻观的起源和可能产生的影响结果作出清晰的了解是必须的，同时也具有重要的意义。
作为简•奥斯丁最杰出的代表作，《傲慢与偏见》通过对平凡人物的细致描写，展现了四段不同的婚姻，它们分别代表着对待爱情和金钱截然不同的态度。本文围绕小说中的婚姻观展开研究，通过对社会背景和人物性格的具体分析，探讨了这些观念是怎样形成的，以及是什么因素决定了人们在婚姻中的选择和行为。本文旨在为现代社会的价值和道德观念提供实践性和指导性的意义。

ABSTRACT

From the late 18th century to the early 19th century, because of the development of industrial revolution, fortune and social status became the most important thing to many people, so the pursuit for money and respection then turned into an obvious trend. What’s more, this concept aslo made great effect on people’s views of marriage, that most people, no matter poor or rich, from high classes or low classes, all considered marriage as a thing based on money but not on love, or even just an efficient way to get wealth and live a confortable life. However, there were still some people who insisted on their opinion that love is the foundation and necessity of marriage, though money is aslo indispensable.
In the present society, the view of marriage has become more and more complex, some of which is advanced and should be praised, but some is extreamely twisted, which may lead to serious problems, such as unhappy marriage and family tragedy. So making a clear understanding of how these views originate, and what kind of consequence they may bring to the society is a necessary and mearningfull issue to discuss.
As Jane Austen's most significant works, pride and prejudice demonstrate four different marriages which stand for various attitude towards love and money through the portray of the extraordinary life of ordinary people. This article focus on the views of marriage in the novel, analyzes the background of the society and people’s personality, through which these views and concepts formed in marriage. This paper  manages to explore a practical meaning and significance to the present social morality and value.
