Abstract
 
Jane Eyre is a masterpiece of Charlotte Bronte in the 19th century that describes the rough life experiences of a little and ordinary girl and successfully traces the emotional and spiritual development of the heroine Jane Eyre.
For over a century, Jane Eyre has been read, enjoyed, analyzed and studied by millions of people across the world. But it is a phenomenon that the great majority of these researches and studies focus on such subjects as the pursuit of feminine equality, feminism, independence, freedom, view towards love and marriage and so on, whereas few come to the connections with modern young women and fewer are concerned with its guiding significance to modern young women.
This thesis begins with the common analysis of the novel and its heroine in terms of its character, personality, view about love, the circumstances that contribute to the establishment of all the above and the progressive meanings of its view towards love in the time. Next the paper goes to modern young women, including their views on love and marriage, factors involved in marriage, the whole environment that contributes to these phenomena and reasons for their choices made, all of which are concluded on the basis of results from surveys and interviews. Then the paper makes a comparison between Jane and modern women in terms of the time, environment and their views towards love. Finally, the paper tries to dig out the guiding significance of Jane Eyre’s view of love to contemporary young ladies and what they should take into account for love and marriage. As is known, the society is more complex than ever before. So more factors come into effect when today’s young ladies choose their love and marriage and sometimes these factors are critical. Hopefully, the thesis will be of some guiding significance to today’s young ladies.

简爱是十九世纪夏洛蒂.勃朗特的代表作，描述了一个弱小平凡女孩的坎坷的生活经历，并且成功的讲述了主人公简爱的心理和精神上的发展。一百多年以来，简爱备受欢迎，有无数的读者阅读欣赏，还有无数的专家学者研究简爱。但是，这些研究大多数是从对女性平等的追求，自由，独立，女权主义和爱情观等角度分析，很少会涉及到现代年轻女性，关于简爱对现代年轻女性的知道意义的就更少了。本文首先分析整篇小说，以及主人公简爱的性格，人物特征，爱情观和造成这些特点的因素和其具有的时代先进性。然后主要通过调查访问等方式，总结现代年轻女性的爱情婚姻观以及影响因素。然后比较简爱的爱情观和现代年轻女性的爱情观。最后，本文总结出简爱的爱情观对现代年轻女性的指导性意义和在选择爱情和婚姻的时候，现代年轻女性应该把什么看的更重要。现代社会越来越复杂，因此，在选择爱情婚姻的时候，有更多的因素会影响，一些起着决定性因素。例如，为了更好的生活或者其他一些原因，一个女性更倾向于选择有钱的而不是爱的人。而且，经常会有女生为了金钱选择结婚的男人的报道，这将会对其有着很大的伤害。因此，本文总结出的对现代女性的指导性意义将非常的重要。
