摘要：

唯美主义及唯美主义运动是在维多利亚时代后期（大致为1868——1901）出现的一场重要的文学运动。唯美主义提倡的是“为艺术而艺术”。奥斯卡•王尔德是19世纪英国本土上杰出的唯美主义文学代表人物，堪称英国文学史，甚至或是世界文学史上最受争议的人物之一。他一度饱受嘲讽，后又备受谄媚。他的小说《道林•格雷的画像》是其唯美主义思想的代表作。后世对他备为推崇却又对其同性恋映射出的美学甚少研究。本文尝试着以同性恋对美学的高度敏感和奥斯卡•王尔德的性取向为切入点，讨论其对王尔德唯美主义作品中带来的深刻的不可忽略的影响。

Abstract：

Aestheticism or aestheticism movement, an important phenomenon during the late Victorian period from around 1868 to 1901, advocated “art for art’s sake”. Oscar Wilde, a prolific literary genius and social critic who was at the peak of his success in the late nineteenth century, was boasted of paradoxical features in English literature or even the world literature. He was worshiped and then fell from grace. His novel The Picture of Dorian Gray (1891) was the representative of his aestheticism thought. Oscar Wilde was also a homosexual in a time when being gay was criminal offense which the later generations were usually silent about. Based on the high sensitiveness to beauty of homosexuality, this paper studies the impact of the Oscar Wilde’s sexual orientation applied in the Aestheticism by analysing how the theory of Oscar Wilde’s sexual orientation exerted its inclusive role in the process of aestheticism movement from the angle of The Picture of Dorian Gray. As an offender of the law and morality of the Victorian time, Wilde influenced the Aestheticism movement with his own unique homosexual aesthetics at the risk of being banished by the society.

1.    Introduction
Oscar Wilde (1854–1900), an Irish-born litterateur, made great accomplishments in various literary genres, such as poetry, drama, novel, fairy tales and literary criticism. However, because he challenged the Victorian moral systems with his radical viewpoints and flamboyant lifestyle, Wilde was severely punished for his homosexuality, which was illegal in his time and led to his imprisonment and disgraceful downfall of reputation.
Aestheticism, or the Aesthetic Movement, was a European phenomenon during the late Victorian period. Oscar Wilde was the most predominant Aestheticism writer of the nineteenth century England. In many ways Wilde was ahead of his time. As an aesthete—one who believed that art must be judged only as art and not by contemporary morality—Wilde had forward-thinking views on censorship and obscenity.
