1.Introduction
Toni Morrison is an outstanding black female writer in the history of American literature in the 20th century. She won the Nobel Prize in 1993, becoming the first black female writer who has ever won this honorable prize in the history of literature. It is a great honor for her and her outstanding works. As a female, she writes about the female groups, and for a long run, her works are always about the vulnerable groups of the black women and their struggle in the cultural conflict between the white and black cultures. In addition, her double identity as a black and a woman makes her penetrate into the deep inner side of the black women to search for their inner thoughts and desires. Through her writings, she describes profoundly and delicately the very picture of the struggling and distorted psychological states of the black women under the double stress of racialism and sex discrimination. Among her splendid works, Beloved is her fifth book, published in 1987. After its publishing, it soon became one of the bestsellers in the history of American literature.
