小说《发条橙》一发表，即以梦魇般的反乌托邦而闻名于世,其中对暴力的渲染和对政府洗脑的着墨，都通过主人公的命运轨迹生动展示出来。在反乌托邦小说中,社会科技往往趋于发达，然而政治体制往往腐朽黑暗，主人公一出场也往往是不容于“和谐”社会的异端分子。《发条橙》中主人公亚历克斯就是以这种社会异类的角色出场——首先他不具备传统英雄主人公该有的美好品质,而且因为他的叛逆思想和暴力行为使得别人对他敬而远之。他反而是以街头恶棍的反英雄形象深入人心。本文在反乌托邦背景下，通过对主人公亚历克斯的三个不同时期的典型事件和命运轨迹的描写，对其进行反英雄角色分析。在深入发掘反乌托邦中的意志自由主题和反英雄性格特点后，不难发现反乌托邦小说中的反英雄角色的性格和命运都有着相似的共性和独特的个性。本文以《发条橙》中亚历克斯为例，意在揭示反乌托邦小说中反英雄角色最终的讽刺结局，展示反英雄角色的文学魅力和反英雄角色带给当今社会的教育意义和启示作用。

ABSTRACT

A Clockwork Orange is famous for its description of a nightmarish Dystopia world where the emphasis of violence and the government’s brainwashing is revealed by the fate of the protagonist of the novel. In Dystopia novels, on one hand, the technology is highly developed；on the other hand, political decay is increasingly serious and the protagonists are often outcasts in “harmonious” society. The protagonist Alex in A Clockwork Orange appears as a social alien who not only lacks the traditional virtues traditional heroes possess but also is rejected by society for his rebellious thoughts and bad behaviors. All these make Alex well-known as an anti-hero. This paper is aimed at analyzing the role of the anti-hero Alex by studying three phases of his life. It’s not difficulty to find that anti-heroes in Dystopia novels have much in common and many differences in characters after deep exploration of the free-will theme in Dystopia novels and character traits of anti-heroes. This paper takes Alex from A Clockwork Orange as an example to reveal the constant ironic ending of anti-heroes, and to show literary charm of anti-heroes in Dystopia novels and to display educational enlightenment of anti-heroes.
