摘 要

诗歌不仅是文化发展进程中必然的文体形式, 也是人类情感抒发的重要途径，其中意象是诗歌发展过程中不可缺少的部分。随着人们对诗歌的逐步研究，诗歌意象也成为了众多学者的研究对象。目前国内学者的意象研究多从文学、修辞学、美学、翻译学等角度。本文则通过对比中英两国浪漫主义诗人代表李白和雪莱的诗歌，研究两者在向父母、家人、朋友、爱人表达情感时意象选取的不同。如：李白在表达对朋友的怀念时借助的是自然意象“水深”而雪莱则是借助宗教意象“阿多尼”。研究发现，因为中英文化的不同、两国诗人生活经历和所受教育的不同，所以导致诗歌意象选取的差异。本研究体现了诗歌意象在诗歌中不可取代的作用。对李白和雪莱诗歌情感意象的对比分析有利于加深对中英诗歌意象的分析，更好地促进中英诗歌的交流，从而推动中西文化交流。

ABSTRACT
   
Poetry is not only an important literary form but a significant way to express human emotions. Poetic imagery, a most frequently used poetic technique, is an indispensable part of poetry. As the study of poetry goes on, poetic imagery has become the main subject of study of many scholars. At present, domestic scholars study imagery from such perspectives as literature, rhetoric, aesthetics and translation. This paper compares the romantic poetry of Li Bai with that of Shelly to show the differences in the choices of imagery. It is found that the differences are embodied in the following aspects: When poets show their emotions about loving parents, loving family, loving friends and loving spouse, they select different images. For example, Li Bai uses the natural image “the depth of water” to symbolize friendship, while Shelley uses the religious image “Adonais”. The study shows that different cultures, different life experiences and different levels of education can lead to different choices of images. Through making comparison and analysis of Li Bai’s and Shelley’s poems, this study emphasizes the irreplaceable role of imagery in poetry. The paper is conducive to deepening the research of poetic imagery of Chinese and English poetry. One the other hand, it can also better promote Sino-British exchange of poetry, so as to promote intercultural communication between China and western countries.
