Abstract：

Angela Carter is a contemporary British writer, well-known for her magical realism, radical feminism, and originality. Magical Realism is the writing mode which is extremely important in Carter’s short stories. This paper tentatively focuses on the study of Magical Realism in Carter's short stories. This paper unfolds from two distinct angles: Realism and Magical Realism in Carter's adaptive stories such as The Bloody Chamber, The Tiger's Bride and The Snow Child.
As for Realism, Carter’s short stories not to a small amount are based on traditional fairy tales and she rewrites them in modern contexts. Compared with those three archetypal fairy tales: Bluebeard, Beauty and the Beast and Snow White and the  Seven Dwarfs subsequently, it can be concluded that her short stories are possessed with the realistic characteristics.
As far as Magical Realism concerned, this paper mainly probes into fantasy in these three short stories. Furthermore, the distinctions among the male characters and the female characters disclose the harsh reality for the females and the awakening women's subjectivity.
At the end of the paper, the author investigates the significances of Magical Realism in Angela Carter's short stories. Though the three stories acquire magical characteristics and bald fantasies, all in all, Angela Carter aims to single out the inferiorities of the females in a patriarchal society and advocates woman's independent minds to live in an equal society.

摘  要：

安吉拉•卡特是英国当代文女性作家,以其魔幻现实主义，女权主义以及原创性闻名。魔幻现实主义在卡特的小说中最为引人注意。本论文基于《血窟》，《老虎的新娘》及《雪孩》三篇小说，分别从现实主义和魔幻现实主义两个方面展开，浅析卡特短篇小说中的魔幻现实主义。
之于现实主义，卡特以传统的童话故事为写作蓝本，以当代的语境为写作背景，改写故事。本论文所选取的卡特三篇小说分别与《蓝胡子》，《美女与野兽》以及《白雪公主与七个小矮人》三篇典型的童话故事相比较，卡特的小说具有现实的特点。
之于魔幻现实主义，本论文主要探究卡特三篇小说中的魔幻。男女主人公地位的区别进一步揭示了女性生活的残酷现实以及女性意识的觉醒。
论文最后，论文作者探讨卡特小说中魔幻现实主义的重要性。尽管三篇小说具有魔幻成分及大胆的想象，安吉拉•卡特旨在突出父权社会中女性处于弱势地位以及号召女性应具有独立的思想，及对平等社会的美好希冀。
