Abstract:
Victor Hugo is an outstanding leader in Romantic Literature in France. Les Miserable is one of the most representative works. This paper makes a new interpretation from the angle of an evil person about humanism in Les Miserable. This paper brings Hugo’s humanism up from all aspects of humanism. It elaborates the reasons, characteristics, intension of humanism. It emphasizes the key effect of humanism to model characters. At the same time, it calls for the back of human’s kindness. It promotes omnipotent humanism. It insists on using kindheartedness and moral influence to touch people. And the writer also believes that we can step from the miserable world into a happy world.

维克多雨果是法国浪漫主义的文学的杰出领袖,是世界文学的巨匠。《悲惨世界》是其最具代表性的作品之一。本论文从恶人形象的视角对《悲惨世界》的人道主义精神作了一个全新的解读,从各种人道主义的变流中引出维克多雨果的人道主义思想,阐述雨果人道主义思想的成因,特点以及内涵,强调人道主义对人物塑造的关键作用,同时呼唤人的善良天性的复归,提倡仁爱万能的人道主义精神,坚持仁慈博爱精神和道德感化,并坚信从“悲惨世界”走向“幸福世界”。

1 Introduction
Victor Huge was born in February 26, 1802, and died in 1885. He, as the positive literature movement leader, is a French poet, play writer, novelist, essayist, visual artist, statesman, human rights activist and perhaps the most influential exponent of the romantic movement in France. The leading thoughts through all his life is humanism. Les Miserable is one of the masterpieces in all his works. In this epic work, Hugo writes from the stage of people's uprising Napoleon at Waterloo in July against the failure until the dynasty history. He draws a huge range of social and political life. In France, his literary reputation rests primarily on his poetic and dramatic output and only secondarily on his novels. He is sometimes identified as the greatest French poet. Outside France, his best-known works are the novels Les Miserable and Notre-Dame de Paris. It is a magnificent epic. It is a person's epic, but it is not limited to the significance of the individual.
