Abstract

    As a literary giant of the modern world, American writer Margaret Mitchell became a shining star in the history of American literature by her unique novel Gone with the Wind. As the first novel to describe females from the perspective of feminism of the American Civil War, Margaret focuses on describing the women who stayed at home under the war-torn and post-war background and suffered from the difficult process of rebuilding their homes.
This thesis is made up of three main parts. The first part gives a brief introduction of Margaret Mitchell’s age, who is a writer and a feminist as well. The second part tells readers the meaning of feminism. The third part is the most important part. It analyzes different attitudes on love of three main female characters Scarlett, Ellen and Melanie in this novel from the perspective of feminism. Scarlett who was the heroine in the world famous novel Gone with the Wind, is regarded as one of the most impressive images in the world literature. Her charm lies in her personality of independence and her spirit of freedom. It could be safely concluded that their love and courage to face the difficulties during the war reveal the awakening of women’s self-consciousness and the realization of feminine value.

摘要

美国女作家玛格丽特•米歇尔作为现代世界文坛巨匠，凭借其独特的一部作品《飘》就名扬天下，成为美国文学史一颗耀眼的明星。作为第一部从南方女性角度叙述美国内战的小说，玛格丽特着重描写了留在后方家里的妇女饱受战乱之苦的体验和感受以及战后立志重建家园的艰辛历程。
这篇论文由三个主要部分组成。第一部分简要的介绍了玛格丽特•米歇尔所生活的那个时代，她是一个具有女性主义意识的女作家。第二部分简单的介绍了女性主义的概念。第三部分也是最重要的部分，从女性主义的角度介绍了小说中三个主要女性人物对爱情的观点。斯嘉丽作为举世闻名的《飘》中的女主角，被认为是世界文学中的一个最令人印象深刻的角色。她的魅力在于她倔强的独立性和她富有自由精神的个性。本文可以确定地认为，她们在战争中所面临的困难时的爱和勇气唤醒了女性的自我意识更实现了女性的价值。
