摘要：

从女性主义兴起时期人们不断的为争取女性权力而努力，现在，越来越多的人们关注反映女性主义视角的小说。而伊迪丝—华顿是美国19世纪末20世纪初的一位重要的女作家，她的著作中大都关注女性命运和生活，其中《纯真年代》 是她最重要的长篇小说，为她赢得了1921年的普利策小说奖。本论文从女性主义的角度出发，对比分析《 纯真年代》小说中的人物特点，结合伊迪丝—华顿写作特点、小说背景、环境等方面，揭示研究小说中的女性主义。

Abstract:

Human beings try their best to struggle for pursuing women rights from the start of feminism. In modern society, more and more people pay attention to the novels about feminist. Edith Wharton is an American writer in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Her writings mostly pay attention to women fate. The Age of Innocence is her most important full–length novel and is regarded as the most wonderful novel which wins the 1921 Pulitzer Prize for Edith Wharton. This thesis will start from the feminist perspective, attempting to analyze feminist effect in The Age of Innocence from the comparison of characters. The author will combine writing features of Edith Wharton and her society background reflecting the feminism in the novel.

The topic of feminism has been a heated discussion in recent years. In modern society, feminism shows further meanings among people. Towards feminism，different people have different ideas. Most people think feminism is about equality of the political status and women power. They also have the same rights with men.
