本文从社会心理角度分析英国作家Doris Lessing的短篇小说《十九号房》中女主人，由于女性在家庭和社会中扮演的多重角色，给她们带来很多内心纠结， 她们在职场上与男人一样的拼搏，在家庭中扮演女儿、妻子、母亲、家庭医生、家庭教师、女管家等多种身份，使他们挣扎在自我找寻、自我实现中。通过主题分析，作者探讨当今中国女性在社会中的多重角色给她们带来的心理压力，说明女性在追求自我价值和自我实现中的困惑。

Abstract:

From the perspective of social psychology, this paper will analyze the heroine in the short story of To Room Nineteen which was written by British writer Doris Lessing. There are a lot of paradoxes in their mind. They work hard together with men in the workplace. But at home they play as daughter, wife, mother, family doctor, tutor, and housekeeper. They struggle to achieve self-realization. Through the analysis of the heroine's paradox, the writer in this paper will compare with Chinese modern women in society, who have similar psychological pressure and confusion in their pursuit of self value and self-realization.

1. Introduction
With the development of society, economy, and culture today, women play an irreplaceable role, and have important and profound impact. Women have involved in the fields of economy, policy, culture, education and successfully created a lot of good achievements. A lot of facts sufficiently prove that women are excellent as men, some even win over men. At work, modern women have occupational norms and spend a lot of time at work. To make themselves in an impregnable position, not eliminated by society cruel competition, they need to keep "self-charging". They want to keep the state of updating and enriching knowledge in order to meet the needs of work and its further development. For the successful completion of the task, they will do issues which are not required to the scope of work but is conducive to the work progress. When female go home, as a daughter, she should honor their parents. If married, she is a wife for her husband and has her responsibility and obligation. If she has children, then she plays a mother role. At the same time, she is the hostess of the house and she is responsible for everything in the house.
