ABSTRACT

King Kong in 2005 is quite an aesthetic film, which contains a variety of stunts, love and thrilling scene. While, the core reason which has resonated with the audience is the weaknesses of human nature reflected in this film—greed, insanity and desire. Compared with King Kong’s holy love towards the heroine and the price he paid, some weaknesses of human nature like selfishness and greed catches more eyes. This paper shall take the fate of the protagonist as a clue, revealing the root of his tragic fate, something terrible in human nature---desire, greed and insanity. As a result of studying the movie, people can know more about the weaknesses of human nature, to know themselves better, and live harmoniously with the world.

摘  要

2005版《金刚》是一部极具审美意境的电影，其中涵盖各种特技，爱情及惊险刺激场景。而真正引起观众共鸣的却是该片所反映出来有关人性的弱点—贪婪、疯狂和欲望。与金刚对女主人公单纯的喜爱并为之付出的代价相比，人类自私贪婪的人性弱点显露无疑。本文将以电影主人公金刚的命运为线索，从而揭示造成其悲惨命运的真正原因，人性。人类要发展，社会要进步，就必须先学会认清自己。人类只有通过认清自己的本质，特别是对人性弱点的认识，才能更好地改变自己，与世界和谐共存。

Chapter One    Introduction
    King Kong is a famous film directed by an American director Peter Jackson. In the background of Great Depression, everyone was forced to explore new room to survive.  The beautiful actress Ann Darrow was at the nadir of her career, then she came across the overwhelming ambitious filmmaker Carle Denham, the one who was believed to bring good luck to her—she would act the leading role in the new film, in the place Skull Land for shooting. Unexpectedly and accidentally, the ship ran aground in Carle's ideal destination—Skull land. At the same time, several team members were crazily attacked by a group of native savages and Ann was captured. She was as a sacrificial offering by the native savages and couldn’t help screaming, and it was the screaming caught King Kong’s attention. The enormous ape, even the fierce dinosaurs afraid, was just falling in love with Ann. He didn’t know, it was the beginning of his miserable destiny.
