His stories are famous for their profound themes, rich content and concise writing style. “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” is one of his best short stories, which describes the protagonist Harry’s decline as a writer, his slide into failure, and his tragic death on the African Plains.

In addition, the paper will discuss the similarities between the author Hemingway and his character Harry and explores Hemingway’s purpose in creating such a character.
