阿富汗妇女一生命运坎坷，主人公玛丽娅姆便自小一直遭受着阿富汗妇女的苦难，再加上特殊的家庭环境，其自身形成的意识则有异于他人。这便为她“奴性”潜意识萌芽和显现创造了条件，这更无疑使她原本困苦的命运雪上加霜。本文便从女性“奴性”潜意识的角度出发，通过比较两位主人公-玛利娅姆和莱拉的命运，来揭示玛利娅姆的命运与她奴性潜意识的关系，并且讨论潜意识对玛利娅姆行为的驱动力。从新的角度，读者会认识一个全新的玛利娅姆。

Abstract:

The fate of Afghan's women is bumpy. One hero-Mariam begins to suffer different hardship as Afghan's women since being a child. Besides, with the special environment of her family, her consciousness formed is different from others. Then the condition of her slavish sub-consciousness is created, which makes her fate worse. From the point of women's slavish sub-consciousness and with comparing Mariam to the other hero-Laila, this paper will show the relationship between her slavish sub-consciousness and her fate, and discuss the influence of sub-consciousness to Mariam's behaviors. From the new point, readers can find a new figure-Mariam.

1. Introduction
Since the book of A Thousand Splendid Suns has published, Hosseini has won the great honor in America. In this book, readers both can witness the hardships of Afghan women, and can be greatly touched by an inconceivable friendship. The abandoned child-Mariam suffers from the torment of her husband, while the coming of Laila brings both sunshine and darkness to Mariam's mechanical life. Hope and despair are changed with each other. From this book, readers can feel the hardship and sorrow of Afghan's women. Although Mariam and Laila are members of them, with help of each other, they have defeated their fate at last. While seeing from her whole life, except for the war, the social system and the environment of their living, the slavish sub-consciousness of her plays a vital role in her life, which leads her as a magic wand. Mother's infusion, Rasheed's autocratic thoughts and neighbor's words make her slavish sub-consciousness deeper. And the slavish sub-consciousness is just the main point that she is different from other women. Without her slavish sub-consciousness, her fate may be another scene. So this paper will analyze her sub-consciousness and her fate mainly.
   This paper will start from the introduction of author and his book, and the next part will describe something about Mariam and women's slavish sub-consciousness. Then, the process of occurrence of her slavish sub-consciousness, and reasons why it causes this will be the main part. At last, it will analyze the relationship between Mariam's slavish sub-consciousness and her fate so that all readers can feel the inner pain in Mariam and find a new figure in this book.
