张爱玲的《倾城之恋》与奥斯丁《傲慢与偏见》都是描写有关爱情与婚姻的小说,都阐述了女性在父权社会中的出境与抗争。然而两部作品中所表现出来的婚姻观既有共同之处,也不乏不同点。本文从中西方人的文化传统,择偶标准、结婚目的以及在婚姻中的夫妻关系等方面来加以对比,来阐述《倾城之恋》与《傲慢与偏见》中中西女性婚姻观的异同并分析其原因。

Abstract:
Zhang Ai-ling's Fell-down City and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice are novels that both describe the marriage and love. They all set forth the situation and fighting of women in a patriarchal society. The marriage of the two works has something in common; however, they also have many different points. By contrasting spouse choosing standards, purpose of marriage and marital relations between husband and wife in Chinese and Western society, this article explains the similarities and differences of Chinese and Western women's marriage from Fell-down City and Pride and Prejudice and analyzes its causes.

1. Introduction
Regardless of age, people need love and marriage. Especially women, they are more concerned about their happiness. Zhang Ai-ling's Fell-down City and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice are novels that both describe marriage and love.
However, they also have different points. In the Pride and Prejudice, Both young men and women —Darcy and Elizabeth、Bentley and Jane are praised highly by Austin. She arranged for their good marriage. Marriage is not an end, but it continues to move forward to a new journey. Zhang Ai-ling's Fell-down City used to be seen as Chinese pride and prejudice [1]. In the novel, Bai Liu-su, who is a divorced woman, is discriminated by the family and community. She just wants to get rid of destiny of "mistresses" by trying all ingenious ways. She wants to marry Fan Liuyuan, and becomes his legal wife. It is a fact that she wants to be safer in finance. That she treats marriage with a utilitarian purpose reveals that she is not from her true heart to Fan Liuyuan. The fall of Hong Kong brings her marriage, but not her love.
The marriage of the two works has something in common. No matter the view of marriage in two novels is a comedy or a tragedy, the heroes are respected for the rule, and they can’t break limitation of the community. They try their best to fight for their fight of survive. Elizabeth and Bai Liusu embody the women have consciousness that they are in the border.
