奥赛罗因战功赫赫受到威尼斯政府的器重，但在这闪耀的光环下始终隐藏着一道阴影。本文以“光环”和“阴影”为中心论述奥赛罗的人格，通过阐述“边缘化”的具体内容以及“边缘化”下奥赛罗的人格特点及其实质，结合相关悲剧理论和美学理论，分析造成其人格的内外因，揭示人格扭曲和造成奥赛罗悲剧的根源。

Abstract:

Othello enjoys great honor in the Venetian Government, but there always hiding a streak of shadow under his shinning aureole. This essay centers on the “aureole” and “shadow” of Othello’s personality, by explaining the specific content of “marginalization” and the “marginalization” of Othello in personality and essence, combining tragedy theory and aesthetics, analysis of internal and external factors of personality, reveal the contorted personality and the root cause of the tragedy of Othello.

1. Introduction
The tragedy of Othello, that is to say the tragedy of Othello’s characters, especially, that is the Othello’s contorted personality that he presents. A person who is brave and invincible in war, with very high honors in the government, and who deeply loves his wife inside, in the process of marginalization, makes a sigh of tragedy—kills his wife in the innocence and credulous, then suicide in remorse after the truth had been brought into daylight. The cause of this tragedy has much relationship with Othello’s some demerits and the social circumstance in the period of Renaissance.
Othello, owing to the spirit of humanism, steps to the lips in the contorted personality under the oppression of his own disadvantaged characters and social circumstance. This essay will start with Othello’s personality representation in the “aureole” and “shadow”, use the means of comparison and contrast, and discuss from the angle of the relationship between inner cause and external cause, finally get the essential reason of forming Othello’s contorted personality. For the coming into being of the tragedy, readers should not only analyze from Othello’s inner cause, but also combine it with the social circumstance of that time, and then the readers could ascertain the essential reasons of porting contorted personality of Othello. Consequently, it could apply some theories for the readers to appreciate the drama Othello better.
