超验主义是美国社会发展的特定产物，从它诞生到发展壮大的一百多年以来，其思想早已渗透到了美国文化的每一个角落，成为美国文学中不可或缺的一部分。超验主义在发展的过程中与中国儒家思想的经典著作有共通之处。并有一定程度的融合。孔孟思想对超验主义的代表人物爱默生梭罗产生的影响并做出了很大的贡献。

Abstract:

Transcendentalism is the production of American development. Since one hundred years from it come into to being to develop strong, its corn ideas spread out everywhere on American culture, and become the important part in American literature. There are some similarities between Confucianism and transcendentalism during the development of transcendentalism. Confucianism made a great effect on Emerson and Thoreau.

1. Introduction
The thought of Confucius is one of the greatest minds in human history. These thoughts not only have great impact on Chinese history but also become a property in human civilization. American Transcendentalism originated in the New England region during the eighteen century which later becomes an important movement of thought liberty. In Eighteenth Century, European launched the "China fever" and it radiated to the United States, the American Transcendentalist writers such as Emerson, Thoreau who had a strong interest in Oriental culture, and their works were influenced by Chinese classical philosophy thought, which works shows bright colors of China. That they read and study the Chinese philosophy especially Chinese classical philosophy had an influence on American transcendentalist ideas. This article mainly discusses the influence that the thoughts of Confucius and Mencius made on the transcendental thought.
2. Major Thoughts of Confucius Philosophy
The mainstream of Chinese traditional culture of Confucianism has the rich connotation of the human spirit which embodies the value and meaning of life and have an irreplaceable effect on protecting and adjusting the maintenance of harmonious society system, As the main form of Confucian works, the four books, such as Analects of Confucius, doctrine of the mean, the content of the books are very important and have a profound significance. Analects of Confucius are mainly manifested in three aspects: first, the benevolent love; second, deny self and return to propriety. The third, the golden mean of the Confucian school. Mencius mainly expresses the people-oriented ideas, benevolent government, and theory of human good nature. There are three programs in daxue and they are also the basis principle of self-cultivation. First, the good moral trait. Second, a keen sense of the common touch. Third, the saintliness. The eight steps are the approaches and measures for self-cultivation. First, survey and research. Second, know the nature. Third, honesty will. Forth, the pure intention. Fifth, self-cultivation. Sixth, the harmonious family. Seventh, rule the country by virtue. Eighth, peace world. The Doctrine of Mean suggest that people should cultivate themselves, self-monitor, self-education, self-improvement, made themselves be a man who have a ideal personality.
