摘要：

18世纪后期正式产生的哥特小说是英国文学独具影响的文学流派。哥特的特征表现为城堡、修道院、荒野，描述关于财产与情欲的争夺、迫害以及谋杀等主题。并且营造神秘恐怖的氛围，包括惊悚刺激的情节等超现实元素。18世纪上哥特小说迅速发展的一个时期，涌现了很多优秀的女性哥特作家。如勃朗特姐妹。艾米丽·勃朗特创作的《呼啸山庄》是世界文学史中的经典之作，女作家汲取了哥特小说的精华，运用一系列哥特式艺术手法进行书写，是的作品蒙上了一层神秘、恐怖的色彩。作为十九世纪经典小说的代表，《简·爱》自1847年问世以来就一直受到评论界的广泛关注，相关的研究也层出不穷。参照迪亚娜·朗·赫费勒(Diane Long Hoeveler)的女性哥特主义理论，笔者拟从女性哥特的角度对《简·爱》和《呼啸山庄》细读，着重比较两部小说中的女性哥特风的异同点。
论文由引言，正文和参考文献组成。引言阐述了女性哥特的起源和与男性哥特相比较的特性。正文首先阐述《简爱》和《呼啸山庄》不同的哥特背景。哥特小说产生的基础是哥特背景。通过对两部小说的背景进行分析，得出其中的异同点。正文然后着重分析两部小说哥特时间和哥特悬念的异同点。悬念是链接事件的桥梁。事件对于小说气氛的营造有重要的作用。通过对于哥特事件和哥特悬念在两部小说中的比较研究，得出两部小说哥特气氛的相同点和不同点。最后对两部小说的男女主人公进行对比分析。将任务与主题联系起来，分析人物对哥特气氛的影响，得出两部小说人物刻画的相同点和不同点和原因。

Abstract:

In the late 18th century Gothic novels are formal literary genre of English literature which has unique influence.Gothic characteristics show the sense such as castle, monasteries, wilderness, describe property and lust, persecution and murder as the theme.The Gothic novels create a mysterious atmosphere of terror, including thrilling surreal elements.On the 18th century Gothic novels had a period of rapid development,this period have produced many excellent female Gothic writers.Such as the Bronte sisters.Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights is the quintessence in world literature,the writer absorbed the essence of the Gothic novel, wrote with a series of Gothic art gimmick, so work is covered with a layer of mystery and terror. As a representative of the classic novel in the 19th century, Jane Eyre since 1847 has received extensive attention from the critics,and the related research also emerged endlessly.With the reference to Diane Long Hoeveler’s female Gothic theory, the author propose to read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights  from the aspect of female Gothic, focusing on comparing two novels’ similarities and differences of female Gothic style. The paper consists of introduction, main body and references.The introduction expounds the origin of female Gothic and compared it with the male Gothic characteristics.
The main body  firstly expounds Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights’s different Gothic background.Gothic novel is based on the Gothic background.Through the analysis of the background of the two novels, we can  concluded the differences and similarities of the background.Suspense is a bridge to link events.
Events play an important role in novel atmosphere building.Through the Gothic events in the two novels, we can draw similarities and differences of Gothic atmosphere in the two novels.Finally, the villain hero of the two novels were analyzed. Linking the task and topic and analyzing the influence of the characters to the Gothic atmosphere, I found similarities and differences of the characters that how did the authors develop them and the cause of them.
