摘要：

艾丽丝·门罗是加拿大著名当代短篇小说家，2013诺贝尔文学奖获得者。她擅长以平静的笔调刻画平凡女性的日常生活及内心困境。短篇小说集《逃离》一经出版便获得了加拿大小说最高荣誉—吉勒文学奖。在这部作品中，女性的平凡生活和内心世界得到了更加细腻和充分的体现。本文借助女性主义批评，以西方女权运动的发展变化及思潮为背景，对《逃离》中多个女主人公所面临的自我价值追寻与传统女性角色回归之间的选择和由此引发的价值冲突展开分析，最终落脚于对传统女性角色的反思与回归，对门罗的女性观作出全新的阐释，并尝试对当代女性在实现自我发展与获得家庭幸福两者间寻求平衡的问题上获得启示。

Abstract:

Alice Munro is a prominent contemporary Canadian short-story writer and the winner of Nobel Prize for literature in 2013. She is expert in depicting ordinary women’s living conditions and their inner struggles in a remarkably plain tone. Her collection of short stories Runaway won the Giller Prize-Canada’s highest literary honor for fiction right after its publication. In this work, ordinary women’s daily life and inner world are fully manifested in a more delicate way. This paper will analyze two heroines’ dilemmas between the pursuit of self-worth and the significance of traditional female roles on the basis of feminist criticism and the background of the development of western feminist movements. Through interpreting the resulting value conflict between female aspiration and traditional family ethics and morals, and being settled in their final choices, the writer hopes to make a brand new interpretation of Munro’s view on female reflected in Runaway and gain some enlightenment on the issue of seeking a balance between the achievement of female self-development and the access to family happiness.

1. Introduction
Alice Munro is an accomplished Canadian female writer who has won the Nobel  Prize for Literature in 2013. With the announcement of Nobel Prize, a new trend of research on Munro has arisen in China. She specialized in portraying women’s lives from female’s point of view with her penetrating insight and profound consideration, particularly, she was good at seizing slice of life of women to explore their inner world and created a lot of female characters who escape from the ordinary life and quest for ego space.
Runaway, one masterpiece of Alice Munro, puts focus on women issues once again. In Runaway, Munro molded six images of ordinary women. They wandered and suffered in their daily life, looking for every chance to escape from their trivial ordinary life. Whether they escape from the control of parents or from the shackle of sexual relationships, what they really want to do is to deviate from the normal family pattern and to build female self-consciousness. Once published, it has been attracting Chinese and overseas researchers’ attentions who devoted themselves to the studies on Munro. Through the collection of materials, the writer found that just like Munro’s previous works, Runaway has been thematically interpreted from the perspective of the awakening of female self-consciousness and considered as another masterpiece of feminism.
