摘要：

本文从后殖民主义角度分析康拉德的《黑暗的心》，先简要的叙述了后殖民主义理论。然后着重叙述了赛义德的后殖民主义观点，主要是赛义德的东方学和他者理论。在《黑暗的心》这部小说中，通过马洛的讲述，可以看到殖民者将非洲人民视为野蛮人，他们通过传播自己的文化想要把文明带给非洲人民，但他们带给非洲人民更多的是灾难。马洛在旅途中，看到了西方殖民者的残忍和无情，同时也看到了非洲人民的觉醒，他们开始反抗并追求独立的生活。

Abstract:

The thesis will analyze Conrad’s Heart of Darkness from the perspective of post-colonialism. First of all, the paper will introduce the post-colonial theory and the representative theorist---Said. Then it will analyze Orientalism and the other theory. In the novel, through the narration of Marlow, we can see that colonists regard Africans as wild men. And they want to educate Africans and force civilization on them. However, they bring the disaster. Marlow sees that the colonists are merciless and cruel. He also sees the awakening of the colonized people. And the colonized people begin to fight for the independence.
