Abstract

Robinson Crusoe reflected people’s values at that time through Robinson’ s adventure. Defoe created a typical bourgeoisie, Robinson, who was deeply influenced by humanism and realized the importance of human beings. At the same time, the main character also wanted to expand the capital through slave trade and the plunder of the colonies. The author described that the bourgeoisie would maintain their power by all means when their interests faced threats. The paper aims to express Defoe’ s values through the analysis of the duality of bourgeoisie values, humanism and colonialism, reflected in Robinson.

摘要

鲁滨逊漂流记从鲁滨逊的冒险经历中折射出了当时人们的价值观。笛福把鲁滨逊塑造成了一个典型的资产阶级。他深受人文主义的影响并意识到人的重要性。同时，他也希望通过奴隶贸易和殖民掠夺扩张自己的资本。作者描绘了资产阶级在自身利益遇到威胁时会采取一切手段维护自己的权力。本文试图从鲁滨逊身上所体现的人文主义和殖民主义分析笛福的价值观。
