Abstract
As the first black writer who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon with its unique writing style and the touching story made a great success. The way of using magic realism not only accurately conveys the serious themes by a wonderful legend, but also causes a strong shock effect of this novel which attracts readers. This paper focuses on both content and form. Traditional African culture and the narrative method of remodeling time and space will be explored in this thesis.

作为第一个获得诺贝尔文学奖的黑人作家，托妮•莫里森的第三本小说—《所罗门之歌》以其独特的写作风格，动人的故事情节而大获成功。莫里森将魔幻现实主义的手法发挥的淋漓尽致，她将动人的故事情节，独特的主题内容与黑人特有的文化相联系，用魔幻的手法解析现状。本文将从魔幻现实主义着手，从内容，讨论了很多非洲元素，形式上探讨该文打破传统的写作手法如时空重塑及荒诞夸张等手法。

Recently, by virtue of combing Chinese style of magic realism with root-seeking literature, Mo Yan's works leads to a magic realism wave in literary world. Thirty-eight years ago,   women writer Toni Morrison who wrote Song of Solomon used similar type of writing skill. Her masterpiece Song of Solomon is regarded as a model of such literature. This novel blends themes of race and class with mythical and realistic genres. Morrison is taken for    a magical realist writer who inherits the essence of this kind of literature. Morrison’s style of magic realism will be discussed in this paper.
According to Luo Chunxia, Morrison uses post-symbolism writing technique which absorbs the religious mystery and allusion to establish a symbolic mythology. She thinks the main line is that black people can fly. It’s clever for Morrison to combine the black people’s history and culture with the myths and folktales.
