摘要

毫无疑问，性格对一个人的一生有着极其深远的影响，这体现在生活的方方面面。而家庭教育在很大程度上影响了性格的形成，包括一个人的价值观，行为举止，礼仪礼节。可以说家庭教育有着不可忽视的重要性。本文将以查尔斯·狄更斯的《远大前程》中的主人公皮普为研究对象，分析在他幼年成长过程中性格的塑造是如何受到家人的影响，并采取文献研究的方法，结合国内外有关家庭教育的文献资料，探讨家庭教育的重要意义，及如何进行正确的家庭教育才能使孩子的心理和身体都得到健全的发展，为帮助孩子健康长成一个对家庭和谐、社会稳定有贡献的人才打下一个良好的基础。

Abstract

There is no doubt that one’s personality has a profound impact on every aspect of life. And family education influences one's personality to a very large extent, including one’s values, behaviors and manners. The thesis is going to take Pip, the little hero in the Great Expectations, as an example and focuses on the fact that Pip’s character is affected by his family members imperceptibly during his boyhood. This thesis will also study relevant documents from the country and the abroad, combined with a specific analysis of the story, which will lead to the conclusion that parents (or family members) should be aware of the significance of children’s psychology healthiness and adopt a correct and appropriate method of family education. Children will contribute to family harmony and society soundness only if they have accepted proper instructions and thus grow healthily both physically and psychologically.
