摘要

    《爱玛》作为世界文学史上最具影响力的女性文学家之一的简•奥斯汀作品,它被认为是其作品中艺术上思想上最成熟的一部。本文研究分析了《爱玛》主人公的形象性格，对女主人公爱玛怎样从一个不完美的女性达到情感成熟的过程进行剖析。
  这篇文章分为六部分，第一部分简单介绍了爱玛和这部小说的作者简奥斯丁，第二部分分析了主人公爱玛的不完美性格，第三部分则分别从深层和表层分析爱玛性格的“扩大”和“缩小”，第四部分主要讲在爱玛成长过程中影响她至深的几个女性人物，第五部分分析了爱玛和奥斯丁自身的相似性。最后总结概括全文。

Abstract

  Jane Austen, as one of the greatest realistic novelists in the world, her work Emma is recognized as one of the most famous novels. This article analyzes Emma’s image and personality; and also analyzes the process of how the heroine Emma from an imperfect woman to be the one with moral improvement and emotional maturity.
   The article is divided into six parts. Chapter one gives the main introduction to Emma and Jane Austen; chapter two lists Emma’s imperfect personality; chapter three analyses Emma’s “enlarging” and “lessening” on her personality from surface structure and deep structure; chapter four analyses the main female figures who affect Emma’s growth; chapter five analyses the similarity between Emma and Austen; lastly chapter six gives the conclusion to the whole article.
