摘要

作为会话分析研究的一个关键问题，话轮转换从二十世纪六十年代以来引起了国内外学者的广泛关注，研究领域也越加广泛。但是，尽管有很多的学者从话轮转换的角度来分析口头话语，却鲜有学者用此理论分析书面话语。因此，本文以会话分析中的话轮转换理论为理论框架，采取定量分析的研究方法，以伊迪丝·华顿的著名小说《纯真年代》中的会话片段为语料，分析比较小说中同性或异性对话中的话轮转换对人物性格的刻画、对人物关系的体现和对情节发展的推动，同时有助于读者了解小说中的话轮转换对小说的影响。

Abstract

As a main perspective in the study of conversation analysis, turn-taking has drawn plenty of scholars’ attention both at home and abroad and has extended its field since 1960s. However, although there is a great deal of research on spoken discourse from the respect of turn-taking, little could be seen in written discourse. Therefore, on the basis of turn-taking theory in conversation analysis, this paper adopts quantitative analysis method to study some dialogues between males, females and cross genders in The Age of Innocence. This study analyzes the employment of turn-takings in portraying characters, embodying relations, and developing plots. Meanwhile, it also gives readers a better way to understand turn-takings in the novel.
