摘要

《哈克贝利·费恩历险记》是马克·吐温的一部经典作品，通过对两个主人公的历险经历的描写，反映出那个时代社会所存在的丑恶现象。作者对一个“卑贱”黑奴的优秀品质的赞扬，正是对种族主义者所鼓吹的“白人优越论”的严正批判，对鼓励种族歧视、美化蓄奴制的“文明”社会的公开挑战。本文主要从罪恶的蓄奴制，异常的社会观念和社会生活来揭开当时“文明”的虚伪面纱，从而鞭挞当时畸形的社会道德。另外，也体现了作者所主张的观点以及他的写作目的。

Abstract

   The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a classic of Mark Twain’s works. It reflects the evil phenomena which exist in the society at that time through the description of the two heroes in the book. Mark Twain writes it to appeal for the freedom and condemn against slavery. The praise of the slave is also the critique of the White Supremacy, and the open challenge to the “civilization”, which encouraging the racism and beautifying the slavery. This thesis criticizes the abnormal social morality and exposes the hypocritical “cultural life” through the villainous slavery, the abnormal social concepts and the fatuous social life at that time. What’s more, this thesis reveals the author’s ideas and his writing purpose.
