摘要

   《杰·阿尔弗雷德·普鲁弗洛克的情歌》是艾略特早期一部具有影响力的诗歌，它被认为是艾略特写作生涯的开端。在该诗中，艾略特通过描绘一个空虚绝望的无法做决定与行动的男子的形象，展现了现代人精神世界的荒芜和现代人精神的幻灭。解读该诗歌的主题有助于了解西方现代人和现代社会。此外，它可以引起我们对当今中国社会及其境遇的思考。本文从反语在该标题中的应用、诗歌意象解读、人称代词“我”、“你”和“他（他们）”以及主人公的性格分析四个方面完成该诗的主题解读。

Abstract

The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock is a poem by T.S.Eliot which is regarded as the beginning of Eliot’s career as an influential poet. In this poem, Eliot expresses the  barrenness of modern life and the disillusionment of modern people by portraying a frustrated man who is incapable of making decisions and doing actions. Analyzing the theme of this poem has a significant part in knowing and understanding the western people and society of modern world. In addition, it can arouse us to reflect on the society and situation of modern China. This paper analyzes the theme of this poem from four aspects: irony used in the poem, the analysis of the images, person pronouns and the analysis of the speaker.
