摘要

    本文通过分析《喜福会》中四位母亲的故事，旨在得出男权女权对当代社会的影响。国内外男权女权的研究成果进一步支撑了本文男女平等的中心思想。为使文章更有说服力，本文添加了作品中一些实际的案例用来分析与论证。一个和谐繁荣的社会需要每一个国家尽自己最大的可能去实现性别平等，保证公平性。这也正是《喜福会》作者谭恩美在小说里想表达的中心思想。

Abstract

    A reflection on four mothers’ story in The Joy Luck Club could elicit the influence that feminism and patriarchy brings to society. What is more, the researches from home and abroad could support gender equality as the main idea of this thesis. Furthermore, the whole paper is more persuasive and concrete by adding several examples. A harmonious and prosperous society needs each country to achieve gender equality as much as they can, and to keep just. This is also the main idea that the author Amy Tan wants to express in her novel.
