Abstract

Ernest﹒Hemmingway, Known as the most famous novelist in 20th century, is the representative of “the lost generation”. The character he portrayed reveals great confused toward their life and then whole world. This paper is going to talk about his male characters
Ernest﹒Hemmingway is famous for portraying code hero. Especially the World –renowned story The old Man and Sea .and the word:”A man can be destroyed but not defeated” In his short stories, some of these heroes are boxer, hunter or matador that full of male hormones in the air. In fighting against the cruel nature and social environment, they shows the plight of the tenacity, courage, defiance of death or  failure to demonstrate their value.
The paper adopt four short stories The Killer, The Undefeated, The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber and A Day`s Wait to have a specific analysis of these male characters in the face of natural or social destructive forces. Then to explore their inner world and human nature. In the last part, I will also slightly discriminate these figures in several aspects.

摘要

欧内斯特﹒海明威作为20实际久负盛名的作家。也是美国“迷茫的一代”的典型的代表人物，其对人物的刻画中显现出对人生，世界的彷徨。 本文着重讨论了海明威的短篇小说中的男性硬汉形象。
海明威在文坛中素以塑造硬汉而著称， 尤其是大家耳熟能详的《老人与海》以及其名言“人可以被毁灭，但不可以被打败”最为有名。 在他的一个个短篇小说中，这些硬汉的职业有拳击手，猎人，斗牛士等充满了男性荷尔蒙的气息。在与在与残酷的大自然和社会环境的斗争中。在困境中的坚韧，勇敢，对死亡与失败的蔑视。纵使走向灭亡，也要展现出自己的勇气，价值。
本片论文就着重选取了短篇小说中的四篇《杀手》， 《一天的等待》， 《弗朗西斯麦康博短促而幸福的生活》， 《没有被斗败的人》。 来具体分析这些男性角色在面对自然或者社会强大而具有毁灭性力量打击或者挑战时的神情，心态。剖析一个个具体而鲜活的角色进而探讨他们的内心世界。进而探讨人性中于对外在强力与压迫的不屈与反抗，对内心勇气与力量的追逐。在文章的最后也对这些人物细微的不同点进行一下鉴别。
